Hull Creative Group Art Director Appointed
to Board of Directors of American Institute of Graphic Arts
(AIGA) Boston
Boston, MA – Carolyn
Colonna, Art Director at Hull Creative Group, a design and
marketing firm, has been appointed to the Board of Directors
of the Boston Chapter of American Institute of Graphic Arts
(AIGA). AIGA is the largest, oldest, and most prestigious
graphic design association in the United States for professionals
engaged in the discipline, practice and culture of design.
Colonna was nominated as Director of Membership
following her recent success with AIGA Boston’s Sponsor
Patron Night 2004, a networking and fundraising event. She
was instrumental in developing and implementing the evening’s
theme, design and promotional materials.
As Director of Membership, Colonna will be in
a leadership role within the AIGA and be responsible for growing
the AIGA's Boston Chapter. She will direct a committee of
volunteers to create projects and initiatives that will inspire
individuals to become more involved in the AIGA, communicate
and enhance Chapter benefits, and invigorate Boston's creative
community.
“This is a great honor!” said Colonna.
“Being on the AIGA Board is a fantastic opportunity
to exchange ideas and information with other leaders in Boston’s
design community and to stay at the forefront of the latest
design and marketing trends. I’m looking forward to
helping influence the shape and direction of Boston’s
AIGA.”
Founded in 1914, AIGA represents more than 16,000
designers through national activities and local programs developed
by 47 chapters and more than 150 student groups. AIGA stimulates
thinking about design within the creative community by focusing
on innovative practices, celebrating excellence and raising
critical issues for discussion among professionals.
