Hull Creative Group Wins LACP “2002 VISION
Award Annual Report Competition” for Design of Geac
Corporation and MRO Software 2002 Annual Reports
Boston, MA August 4, 2003 – Hull
Creative Group, a design and marketing communications firm,
was honored with two prestigious “2002 Vision Award
Annual Report Competition” Gold awards for producing
2002 annual reports for Geac Corporation, a global organization
dedicated to providing leading organizations with performance
management software and systems, and for MRO Software, a leading
provider of business solutions for strategic asset management.
Sponsored by the League of American Communications
Professionals (LACP), an organization that encourages excellence
in the practice of communications for all organizations, the
competition drew more than 600 annual reports representing
organizations ranging from top ten Fortune 500 companies to
community based nonprofits. Participating sectors included
health care, financial services, technology, government agencies
and charitable organizations.
Entries were judged by communications professionals
affiliated with LACP, and evaluated according to a point system
based on first impression, report cover, artwork, creativity,
clarity, letter to shareholders, report narrative, report
financials, readability, and information accessibility. As
recipient of two Gold awards, Hull Creative Group was given
the second-highest score for both annual reports in the competitive
category of “Technology –Services/Software Companies
with an Employee Base of 1,000-10,000, and Annual Revenue
of $100-$500 Million.”
“We are thrilled to receive these awards,”
said Carolyn Colonna, Art Director, Hull Creative Group. “These
two annuals have different but equally effective missions.
The Geac annual focuses on their client base — we set
up high impact, vivid photos of their well-known clients to
get across the idea that Geac is both established and current.
The MRO annual highlights the technology that they offer.
We used photography and varnish techniques that gave the piece
a polished, sophisticated look that reflects their products.”
